0519 A few stills from today's lab
We had a busy day in the lab today (After our first major test, of course!). There were five stations of activities, including inpatient blood draws, producing and staining blood specimens, capillary finger sticks, centrifuging hematocrit tubes to determine a patient's hematocrit levels and butterfly draws in the A/C and aliquoting samples into pour-off tubes. We even had a microscope for viewing the blood smears up close and personal!

0518 Blood Draw Videos (Day 4)
Here are 23 videos of lab activities from Tuesday May 18th. It was a big day with most students going for two draws: outpatient and inpatient.
0518 Some Stills of Lab Skills
We used the camera so much in class today that there wasn't enough power to get all of the inpatient blood draws, but I'll keep trying! Here are some stills of the activity in today's lab. To download your own, double click on the image, go to PicasaWeb.com, click on "view all" and use the drop-down menu with the "download" label.
