Today we had visitors from the Medical Assistant Program come in to practice drawing with us! We saw some really great draws (especially when you consider today was just the fourth or fifth draw for many of our phlebotomists!) Here are the videos that I captured today!

07102012 Blood Draws

been seeing some very good draws considering that we are only on our third day

07102012 The perfect feather... Simone's "mini" in-service
Today
Simone was showing the students how to make blood smears and I caught the tail
end of her in-service. Her last smear was the best (grace under pressure!) and
here's how she did it!
You
might want to consider trying these when there is a lull in your time in the
lab. It's a useful skill to develop!
