It's a wrap! (Anatomy of a cast)
Lola volunteered to have her arm in a cast today as the MA and Surge Tech Students practiced their skills wrapping casts.
It starts with a sleeve, which is cut to fit, followed by padding and then the plaster, which wraps on like an ACE bandage and is smoothed over with wet gloves/hands to finish it off. The casts take a while to cure and Lola's remained green for quite a while.
Soon, her friends were signing her cast and, later that afternoon, the Surge Tech Students removed it.
