Don't forget your sterile tubes (blood cultures) will be drawn first!
Learn the ETS order first (Sterile, Red, Lt. Blue, Gel tubes, Lavender).
Then swap the Red and Lt. Blue for Syringe Order of Draw.
Lastly, Capillary draws (for microtainers) are not used for blood cultures or coag studies. Because of clotting considerations, the Lavender tube is drawn first, followed by the gel tubes and lastly by the red, where the blood would clot anyway...
